The rigorous process of evaluation for a facility to become accredited was developed to measure outcomes, foster patient safety, and ensure surgical excellence. Once the facility completes either a new application or an application for reaccreditation, the next step is the inspection by a metabolic and bariatric surgeon surveyor.
Since Your Facility Has Significant Expenses Associated With The Site Survey Process, Ensure That Your Staff And Facility Are Well Prepared
A mock site survey will ensure facility and staff readiness and allow correction of identified deficiencies in advance. It is recommended that mock site inspections be scheduled four to six weeks prior to the anticipated site survey to ensure ample time to implement any necessary changes.
