Cardiac Registry Support has been family-owned and -operated since 2008. At Cardiac Registry Support, we ensure each abstractor is kept up-to-date on all new training in the constantly changing world of data abstraction, providing the most accurate results possible.

Our project team includes experienced cardiac registered nurses, physicians, RCIS, along with IT specialists and operations support staff which can work with your company to provide the highest quality services which are safe, efficient, and secure. With more than a decade in business, all our management staff have cardiac clinical backgrounds and we strive for a 97% or higher IRR. We can assure you of accuracy and quality results.

Sue Mikle, RN
President

Sue founded Cardiac Registry Support in 2008 to help hospitals in need of assistance with their cardiac registries. As president, Sue is passionate about quality outcomes for clients and improvement to patient care. Sue has been a nurse for more than 35 years with 20 years of experience in cardiovascular services and quality assurance. Sue has more than 12 years of cardiac registry abstraction experience.

Brenda Davis Bryant
Account Manager

Brenda has been in the medical field since 1982.  She has been employed with CRS since 2018. She has been a career long ICU/CVICU Nurse, STEMI coordinator and maintained Chest Pain Center Accreditation. Brenda is responsible for case abstraction of CathPCI, CPMI, and STS (TAVR and Mitral Clips).  Brenda’s continuing responsibilities include managing quarterly reporting, quality assurance, auditing, and maintaining open communication with her facilities and staff. 

Tahnee Clausen
Office Manager/Human Resources

Tahnee joined Cardiac Registry Support in 2019 as an Office Manager and Human Resource Manager. She has a degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Human Resources and enjoys every aspect of helping CRS run as smoothly as possible. Tahnee has attended multiple leadership conferences and has completed various management coaching seminars. She is proficient in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks and keeps current with all Federal and State Employment Laws. Tahnee lives in Minnesota with her better half, Dave and their 5 awesome kids.

Angela Ebel, RN MSN
STS Congenital Account Manager

A life-long healthcare advocate, Angela has served as an STS congenital abstractor for the past ten years, joining Cardiac Registry Support in 2014. As an STS congenital account leader, she is responsible for remote and on-site communication and collaboration with facility staff as well as managing reporting and quality assurance. To continually expand her depth of knowledge on the latest data abstraction regulations and distinctions, Angela annually attends the national STS AQO Convention. A graduate of Yale University, she is a recognized speaker, writer, and educator.

Ashley Frields
Account Manager

Born in Oregon, Ashley has lived and experienced life in multiple states. For the past 5 years, she and her family have settled in Northeast Nevada. During her hospital career of 9 years, she has worked as a Certified Telemetry Technician and Cardiovascular Technician in the Cath Lab. This afforded her an opportunity to learn much in the cardiac field. With that experience, she taught herself to abstract for the CathPCI Registry. Over the past 5 years, she has proven herself to have an above average understanding of the registry. So much so, that she teaches/mentors others to learn and abstract for CathPCI. In addition, Ashley has continued to learn/abstract CPMI, TVT and is currently reviewing ICD. As an Account Manager, she is a great resource to her clients and Team Members.

Kathy Larson, RHIT BS
STS Adult & Thoracic Account Manager

Kathy joined Cardiac Registry Support in July 2015. She has eight years of experience abstracting STS adult cardiac as well as ten years with NCDR/ACC, CathPCI, Action, and ICD. Kathy is responsible for managing quarterly facility reporting, quality assurance audits, and maintaining communication with facility staff. She also provides abstraction services for the STS adult cardiac and general thoracic registries. She has 19 years of experience working in healthcare information technology and is a certified EPIC application administrator.

Ted Mikle, BS
Chief Financial Officer

Ted has 40 years of accounting and business management experience. Ted has worked with Cardiac Registry Support since its creation in 2008. As the Chief Financial Officer, Ted’s responsibilities include financial management, marketing and assisting with the human resource department.

Michelle Respess
Account Manager

Michelle joined Cardiac Registry Support in December 2020. She comes to us with 5 years of abstracting experience in NCDR/ACC CathPCI, CPMI, and ICD Registries. She was born in North Carolina, raised in Collierville, TN and attended nursing school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. During her hospital career of 20 years at the bedside, she worked on cardiac, stroke, and vascular floors as well as CVICU. She has served as an educational resource and trainer for the registries. She enjoys working with her team to serve our client’s abstraction needs.

Melanie Robinson
Account Manager

Melanie is a lifelong resident of resident of New York State, from upstate to the Finger Lakes region. She attended the University of Rochester (1992-1996) where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and began working at the Medical Center in the Cardiac Cath Lab as a CVT. After eight years in the lab, she moved into a position in Quality and Data where she began working with national and state cardiac registries. She joined the Cardiac Registry Support team in 2015 and now serves as an Account Manager.

Lori Steinberg

Chris Stocker, BIS
IT Manager & Security Officer

A crucial member of our team, Chris is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of IT equipment and software as well as tech support. As Security Officer, Chris monitors physical security and is accountable for ensuring appropriate controls are in place. He joined Cardiac Registry Support in 2016 and earned a degree from the Minnesota School of Business. Chris has worked in IT Services for more than ten years.

Lindsey Thompson, CMA (AAMA)
QA Specialist/Abstractor

As the Office Coordinator, Lindsey’s responsibilities include providing HR and administrative services. She supports managers and employees through a wide variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Lindsey holds an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and is a Certified Medical Assistant.

Jennifer Wysocki

She was born and raised in Ohio and now resides in Tennessee. Her first career started in Veterinary medicine. She spent 20 years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, working Emergency Critical Care ICU in small clinics up to The University of Tennessee Veterinary School of Medicine. In 2014 she made the decision to get the nursing degree she always wanted. She pursued her degree at South College School of Nursing, graduating March 2017 with her BSN. She has spent her nursing career working at the bedside on the cardiothoracic step-down units and started abstracting CathPCI October 2018. She has now transitioned to abstracting CathPCI, CPMI and Research Projects full time for CRS and has recently taken on the role of Account Manager.
